Women Empowerment

“A Nation is said to have achieved freedom, if women feel free to roam in streets at midnight”, as said by M. K. Gandhi, is true to greater lengths. Women are the companion to man with equal mental capacity. They are not subordinate or inferior to anyone. They could achieve anything and many women across the world even proved that point. Women empowerment is on a rising scale now. There are almost no fields or sectors without any woman having proved her expertise in it.

But, in this rising scale of the empowerment of women, not only power vested in women is being brought to the notice of the world, but also being exploited. It is estimated that 35% of women have experienced physical/sexual violence at some point in their lives which later lead to various problems like depression, HIV etc., as per UNWomen.org. The count of molestation and atrocities of women is also increasing in an exponential rate. The society needs some education and action regarding this now more than ever. We will stand by the people who need support and will fight against the atrocities against women.
